What CharmWriter is
What is CharmWriter?
CharmWriter is an AI book companion for people who have a story to tell but not the habit of writing. You speak your ideas or type them, and CharmWriter shapes the raw material into finished chapters while keeping your cast, plot, and world consistent.
Who is CharmWriter for?
Memoir writers, entrepreneurs with a book in their head, parents documenting family history, storytellers who think in scenes but struggle on the page. You do not need to call yourself a writer to use it.
Do I need writing experience?
No. If you can tell a story out loud, you can write a book with CharmWriter. The AI asks the questions a patient editor would ask and turns what you say into readable prose.
How it works
How does voice input work?
Click the microphone and speak. Your words transcribe in real time. You can speak in full sentences, in fragments, in tangents. CharmWriter turns the transcript into clean prose afterward.
Can I type instead of speaking?
Yes. Every surface that accepts voice also accepts typing. Most writers use both, switching based on mood and energy.
Will the AI write my book for me?
No. CharmWriter is a companion, not a ghostwriter. Your story, your voice, your decisions. The AI asks questions, proposes phrasing, and catches inconsistencies. It does not decide what happens next. That stays with you.
What is the Story Bible?
The Story Bible is a living reference that tracks every character, place, plotline, and key event in your book. CharmWriter updates it as you write so details stay consistent across hundreds of pages.
What languages does it support?
The interface is available in English, Ukrainian, and Czech for now, with more languages on the way. You can write your book in any language, including mixing languages within one manuscript.
Pricing
Is this a subscription?
No. You buy credits once and use them at your own pace. Credits never expire. A subscription would take your money during the months you are just thinking. Credits pay for exactly what you write.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new account gets enough credits to write one full chapter. No card needed, no time limit on using the free credits. Finish your first chapter, see how it feels, then decide.
Can I get a refund?
Unused credits are refundable within 30 days of purchase. Email support@charmwriter.com with your order reference and we handle it.
Your writing
Do I own what I write?
Yes. Entirely. You hold full copyright on every word. CharmWriter does not use your writing to train AI models, does not resell it, and does not claim any share of what you produce.
Is my writing private?
Yes. Your chapters, notes, and Story Bible are visible to you alone. They are not shared with other users, not sold to third parties, and not used to train models.
What can I export?
Your manuscript exports to Markdown, Microsoft Word, and PDF. Everything you wrote, formatted for editing, sharing, or publishing however you choose.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. One button in Settings removes your account and every chapter, note, and bible entry associated with it. Deletion is permanent and immediate.
